BioCard ("we", "us", "our") provides a platform that lets creators, professionals and businesses build a single digital identity page — a bio link, digital business card and mini portfolio. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share and protect information when you visit biocard.in or use any BioCard service.
By using BioCard, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Personal information
- Email address used to create your account.
- Phone number, if you choose to add one to your profile.
- Username you claim on biocard.in.
- Profile photo and cover media you upload.
Profile information
- Display name, headline, bio, location.
- Social links (Instagram, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, custom URLs).
- Business information such as company name, role, website, services and pricing if you publish a business profile.
Payment information
When you subscribe to a paid plan, payments are processed by our payment partners. We receive transaction metadata (amount, plan, status) but never your full card number or banking credentials.
Analytics and device data
- Aggregate page-view counts, click counts and referrers for your BioCard.
- Device information (type, OS), browser information (user agent, language).
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies Policy below).
- Log files including IP address, timestamps and request paths, retained for security and abuse prevention.
How we use information
- To create, operate and personalise your account and public BioCard page.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To provide analytics so you can understand who is engaging with your page.
- To communicate service updates, security notices and (with consent) product news.
- To prevent fraud, abuse and violations of our Terms.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How we protect information
Data encryption
All traffic to BioCard is served over HTTPS. Data at rest is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption enabled.
Data retention
We retain your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and content from public view immediately and purge it from our primary systems within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g. tax invoices).
Third party services
- Payment providers to process subscription billing.
- Analytics providers to measure aggregate product usage.
- Hosting providers that operate the infrastructure BioCard runs on.
- Email providers to deliver transactional messages.
We share only the minimum information required for each provider to perform its function.
Your rights
- Access & export — request a copy of your data at any time.
- Update — edit your profile, links and account details from the dashboard.
- Delete — permanently delete your account and associated data from your account settings.
- Object — opt out of non-essential communications.
GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. BioCard acts as the data controller for personal data collected through biocard.in.
Children's privacy
BioCard is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
International users
BioCard is operated from India. If you access the service from outside India, your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in countries where our infrastructure providers operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
